Brockenspiel

The Brockenspiel is a musical swipe card reader. It plays the numbers that are encoded on the magnetic stripe of credit cards and access cards, turning the invisibly encoded data on our pocketfuls of cards into something melodious and beautiful. It also reads and plays barcodes, with an optional barcode scanner plugged in.

The Brockenspiel was featured on the BBCs Tech Know series.
